About the event
Rather than relying solely on traditional road-safety messaging, Just 1 Life Sligo will use powerful real-life experiences, expert speakers, interactive presentations and carefully considered visual material to demonstrate the potentially devastating consequences of poor decisions on the road.
Students will hear from professionals and people with first-hand experience of road collisions, potentially including An Garda Síochána, National Ambulance Service, fire and rescue services, healthcare professionals, road-safety experts and people whose lives have been directly affected by road traffic collisions.
The central message is simple:
A moment of poor judgement can change a life forever. You only get Just 1 Life.
Overall Aim
To reduce the risk of serious injury and death among young people by challenging attitudes towards driving, passenger behaviour and road safety before they become regular drivers.
